Monsters, etc

Here are a couple more monsters I've been playing with. Zack couldn't figure out my mummy was a mummy at first, but I think it looks ok. It looks a little bit more like the "wrappings" close up than in this picture. Here the lines look more blurred than they do up close. Maybe quilting lines would help that. Not sure. I think tonight if I have time, Ill try the monster with all the funny eyes and/or the pumpkin. These are kinda fun to make. My favorite is definitely the Frankenstein monster. I really like Tanya's colors in her example so I pretty much copied that-I think that the royal blue is a fun background. I'm having fun doing this. I'm thinking about how to put these together and what kind of words I can use too. I'll post more when I get some more done!

Ongoing Projects

I am in the process of quilting the pineapple quilt. I have it iron basted and I plan to do a simple meander pattern free motion quilting on it.
This Halloween panel was just for fun. I got some purple metallic thread and just meandered around the background and then sewed the binding on. Now I just have to hand sew the binding to the back. I think this will go to a friend who loves Halloween. Or else I'll keep it, I haven't decided yet.

I also have finished the hydrangea quilt-finally. I hand quilted the border and didn't quilt the center where the applique is which has made the quilt every Un-square, but oh well, it is just for me to see and it was good hand quilting practice.
